The New MLA Style, 2016 — where can I find it?

You are speaking of MLA Style Edition 8.

One good guide is to be found here: https://www.daytonastate.edu/cwc/files/MLA8guide.pdf
It contains a very clear explanation of the inner logic of the new MLA style. It clarifies the use of the so-called „containers” in a color-coded format. At the end you have a sample of an academic paper and its Reference list. 33 pages of very clear information - print it in color and keep it handy!

A more condensed Guide from Cardinal Stritch University (14 pages) is to be found here: https://www.stritch.edu/uploadedFiles/Library/Doing_Research/Citation_Help/MLAStyleGuide.pdf

An even shorter guide, which you could use as a reminder or a poster (4 pages), can be found here; https://www.stmarys-ca.edu/sites/default/files/attachments/files/mlaguide8th.8.2016_0.pdf

Four sample papers in MLA style can be found here: https://style.mla.org/sample-papers/
